My grandfather's obituary was the last thing I wrote for an audience in 2014. He was diagnosed with cancer less than two months ago. Try as I may, I have been unable to explain fully how much he meant to me. 2014 has sent many curve-balls my way that knocked the words right out of me. I'm looking forward to a fresh start in this new year and I'm happy to be back here again sharing on a regular basis. Thank you for sticking around!

Thank-you so much for this. As you can imagine, I have been wrestling with this concept especially this past year with my Dad taken from us so unexpectedly and with my own advancing age. It takes courage to face each day with joyful anticipation when things around us seem to be falling apart and our own abilities –waning. Be strong and very courageous for the Lord our God is with us wherever we go … and for however long.

2015 - bring it on! Yes, that was pretty tough and I'm proud of how you and your siblings supported your Mom and family!

I'm a blog-at-home mom who writes because my sanity depends on it. I'm a Jesus-lover, family gal, coffee addict, recovering hoarder in a small New England town that bears a suspiciously close resemblance to "Stars Hallow" (and if you know where that is, we're friends already!). I am working towards simple living, one step at a time.
