When we lived in the Little Cottage on the Souhegan, before kids, a woman informed us that our little two bedroom cottage was much too small to have any children. We added three members to our household before we started to feel we may be out-growing the space. Our next move wasn't much larger.
The truth is, we're a cozy family.
Truth is, the only room kids need or want or use is whatever room you are in. So it doesn't matter if it's 900 or 9,000 square feet - child-induced claustrophobia will set in. They will find you. They want to be as close as possible. Always.
But not really always. But for now, always. And that's ok.
When we go to the beach we see it all the time - the VASTNESS of the grand ocean - the only remarkable limit to the space that can be seen is the horizon, and even that suggest more space beyond. And what do we do with all that SPACE? We huddle close to the ones we love, because CLOSE is the best place to be.
STOP.
