April is "National Poetry Month" and since I don't read poetry often "National Poetry Month" seemed like a good excuse to challenge myself to read it a bit more. I thought it'd be fun to share a little poetry to break the silence here. The two lines from this poem I want to share I actually first read from the post of a poetry reading at Kara Tippett's memorial service. Beautiful and just haunting enough to linger in your thoughts for awhile. If you have a piece of poetry you enjoy please leave a comment, I'd love to hear about it!

I'm a blog-at-home mom who writes because my sanity depends on it. I'm a Jesus-lover, family gal, coffee addict, recovering hoarder in a small New England town that bears a suspiciously close resemblance to "Stars Hallow" (and if you know where that is, we're friends already!). I am working towards simple living, one step at a time.
