Paint the tomb white and you know what you have? Dead souls inside.
Fix the hair, put on the mascara, buy new clothes, but what is on the inside is what matters most.
So fill up with, Jesus, who gives LIFE.
Sure, clean, vacuum, wipe down those windows. But whatever you do, breathe words of life into the souls growing up inside those pretty painted walls.
Six shades of gray - SIX - were splattered on my living room walls this summer, but I'm not sure I have pondered how to bring LIFE into my living room for quite as long or quite as hard as I did those silly shades.
We settled on Boothbay Gray from the Historic Color Collection. It's blue.
Walk into the paint section of the hardware store and there are rainbow walls covered with a full spectrum of possibilities. And you can chose one of each color, but if there's no LIFE inside you have chosen Whitewashed Tomb from the Red Letter Collection.
So pick up the word, cover your walls with it, ponder, ask your Designer which one is right for today. Breathe it into the little souls you raise, your partner, and those who visit your living room.
And if the walls never get painted and the finger prints, scuff marks, and maybe even purple crayon remain, but the souls inside are alive and thriving, then thank the good Lord and don't worry about it.
STOP.
